I wrote this article on spring color trends for the home shopping network nearly two years ago. goes to show you that all style trends are cyclical. there can't be anything more pop-y than the colors that are popping up on clothes this spring season. invest in some color to make your spring style merry and bright.

anyone who is anyone knows that the epicenter of hip stems from my hood of williamsburg, brooklyn. as a style and trend expert, I am all too lucky to live here and get the visual street scoop on hip style before it hits big. I'm not sure if this trend will make it to the mainstream but I saw it three times on the walk down bedford to the subway, so for the ubercool, take this trend notice: bicycle hats. those tiny little caps that sit atop a professional biker or messenger. apparently, everyone is wearing one. will you?

fans of zac posen, or really anyone interested in what the hot NYC designer is all about, will have a chance to do so on april 25. if you haven't heard already, zac posen is coming to target making his wears available to every jane, jenn and josie all across this great land of ours. through the style grapevine I've heard there will be a pop-up shop in times square on april 15 for 24 hours. I will be sure to be there and report to all of you lovelies on whether or not the couture for coins line is a must have and if you're dying to get a sneak peak on what's available, check it here.

my cutie assistant and junior brand principal to the street chic empire, bryanna is rocking a new shirt today. and she loooves it. you can tell by the 10+ tweets she made about it. the chambray western from gap is afforadable, flattering to all figures from petite to plus and looks too too when paired with black denim and flats.

on a rainy day in nyc (which happens to be today), one must own a very sturdy and stylish umbrella to make the many block-walk to the subway station bearable. more often than not, we youngsters and/or urban commuters have a couple of cheapie umbrellas to make due. this results in a busted, pathetic brolly that usually ends up in the corner wastebasket and a disgruntled ny-er who is left soaking wet. I say enough already! let's grow up and give our rainy day women a proper brolly to work with. if u have the bux to spend, burberry is tops. for major rain coverage at a spend-thrift price, this totes golf umbrella is perfect! and if something girly is more your thing, this hello kitty umbrella takes the cake!

not too long ago, I produced this masspike miles ft. rick ross "love drunk" music video for famed hip-hop director dan "the man" melamid. the vid recently released on mtv and rising up the charts is fire. literally. while we were shooting, a gas station caught fire by our street location and we were able to capture the intense scene for ourselves.

mix a structured rachel bilson with a 4 am wasted kesha stumbling out of the soho grand and you have supertrash. a european women’s line based out of amsterdam (no wonder I'm high off their style) that recently launched in the US during this past new york fashion week. a ton of stars have already been spotted rocking the brand from victoria beckham to stephanie pratt, paris hilton and many more. get yours here.

The most exciting and sought-after week in fashion recently took place in New York City. Up and coming designers, front row celebrities and fashionista blogger stars converged on the city to see and set trends for NY Fashion Week and the most recognizable and exciting thing I came across were these super skinny cigarettes, Vogue. everyone and their mama had these sticks dangling from their super shiny pop o' hot pink lips. apropos fer sher.

next week is the first valentine's day with my sexy, sweetie, maaaaaaj and I know the man is supposed to prepare something special however being me, I can't help but produce a lovely v-day weekend. if you need help with your planning, take away whatever tips you choose and adjust it to your liking. to prepare for the day de l'amour, I've booked tix to montreal from new york on amtrak. a romantic ride throught the aidorandeck's will surely get us in the mood for making whoop. next up, dinner in old montreal. for the actual day of love, a trip to jardin botanique and massages at rainspa. a brazillian dinner and jazz after dark. pre-weekend plans include a quick trip for a brazillian full-wax at bliss salon in soho and some fun lingerie and a new dress on the cheap from conway. I know some things are left up to surprise and spontenaity but for me, a good plan is a lot more sexy.
