with yesterday's facebook frenzy over the posting of the $15 chinatown blowdry, it got me thinking about hair styles. as andi scarbrough, stylist to the stars, can tell you, I am obsessed with my hair style and change it as often as one changes underwear. last year I decided to go wild and had nyc stylist, meg d. at salon V weave 250 italian extensions into my hair. while I lost the extensions, I have not cut the hair, so my below shoulder hair now requires a bit of think in regards to style. and since yesterday marked my first $15 blow out at chinatown's pell hair designs, it also gave me an hour to look at the fabby UK based mags they have at the salon. and so it is my New year's hair resolution, that my next cut will be britannia cool inspired. UK girls are so bold. so on the cutting edge, setting and rocking trends that trickle to us in the US. british vogue is a perfect place to start. I'll keep you updated. here's to hair!

fine wine.

(September, 27 - NYC) Another year older for moi and loving every minute of it! I love feeling like a woman. Coming into my own and knowing I can kick some serious ass in life. Balls to the wall, Bebe! I celebrated my 34th with a relaxing facial at Gurney's Spa in Montauk, thanks to my sister, The Urban Grocer. Day of, me & Maj threw an intimate bash at Norwood with the help of my college bud, Lady E. Hostess Cupcakes and LOTS of Champgne and strawberries. I wore an $8.50 scoop neck, Cheetah dress, red Chanel Rouge lips and had my hair did Betty Draper style by Meg D. at Salon V. Love my friends! Loved the day! Loving life! Especially loving you. Insert wink emoticon here.

hair there.

in anticipation of the big sundance trip, I've decided to go loooong. and by long, I mean add extensions and about seven inches of length to my hair. after a short search on facebook, my roomie and hair stylist extraordinaire, meg d. of salon V fame in the east village on 7th and ave A. came to the rescue. we bought the hair and the locks st hairlocks.com and went to work. meg slaved over my head for five hours?!?! adding 200 individual pieces to my head. if you're in nyc and thinking of extensions or even not in nyc but need a professional that does a bang-up job, holler at meg d. she'll hook a sister up.
