Not all of us can be influential, in the know stylemakers, so below is a quick pictorial for you to fein fashion know how, and impress the crowd at your next fabulous gathering. One note to remember is that this past Fashion Week is to showcase the trends of next Spring 2013. Crazy, I know, but get ready to rock those cutouts and mid-driffs, because next Spring is all about BOLD color, prints, modern cuts and 60s inspired glamour!

Yes, NYFW is all about the big name designers showing off their future Spring 13 fashion offerings, but the real deal style is in the streets that surround the tents. Here are a few street shots we loved, as captured through the lens of aanya Photography, of fab Fashion Week cuties who bought it cheap and made it chic.

Yes, today kicks off New York Fashion Week, with street style owning the tents, and explosions of creative expression as its expressed down a runway, but I'm thinking of another fashion altogether. The fashion of the First Lady, Michelle Obama as she spoke at the Democratic National Convention last night was terrific, don't you think? A pink brocade Tracy Reese sheath was fitted and feminine. down to a J Crew pink heel and paired with an oh so trendy blue french manicure. Now, that's a lady!
